A summer camp for young enthusiastic musicians, starting at the age of 16.

Are you passionate about music and do you have many years of experience on your instrument? Do you want to share your passion with people of the same age? Then this is a summer camp for you!

Content:
This will be the 65 consecutive years Halewyn Foundation is holding this Music Summer Camp!

Every day, for some 8 hours, we rehearse in large groups with orchestra instruments but also in chamber music groups. But also we will sing songs from all parts of the world as a choir and we will be working on your voice technique.

During the week there will be time for some sports and recreation.

The camp ends with a concert, where we will perform the rehearsed programme. Parents, friends and family are welcome to hear you perform.

Schedule:
8.30 – 9.00: Breakfast
9.00 – 10.30: Instrumental rehearsal
10.30–11.00: Break
11.00–12.00: Choir
12.00–12.45: Lunch
12.45–14.00: Sports and recreation
14.00–15.30: Instrumental rehearsal
15.30–16.00: Break
16.00–17.00: Choir
17.00–18.00: Instrumental rehearsal
18.00–19.30: Supper
19.30–20.00: Choir
20.00–20.30: Instrumental rehearsal
20.30–21.30: Sports and recreation

Expected level:
A very solid technique of the instrument is a must and it is important you have a thorough ensemble playing experience.

We provide a certificate of your participating at this summer camp.

Instruments: 
Stringed instruments: violin, viola, viola da gamba, cello and acoustic bass
Wind instruments: flute, oboe, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone and clarinet
Keyboard instruments: piano and cembalo
Percussion: timpani and melodic percussion instruments

The domain is located in the province Vlaams Brabant, in Dworp, 15 km from Brussels and 5 km from Halle. The center is in the woods: the spaces and residences are situated in the middle of a 15-hectare forest and the domain itself borders the Provincial Domain Huizingen with almost 100 hectares of forest.
